Avology redesigned the fashion retailer's WooCommerce-powered online store for Chic Zip, which specializes in minimalist, modern basics.

The objective was to transform the online shop so that it more accurately reflected the upscale nature of the brand and improved user experience, mobile compatibility, and conversion rates.

Challenging Part

The key task was to reimagine Chic & Zip's clean, editorial aesthetic as a high-performing eCommerce website. Chic & Zip needed a lean but responsive store that would be quick to load, offer smart product filtering, and be device-agnostic — at least on mobile, where the majority of their customers were shopping and browsing.

Solution

Avology reimagined the website's user interface through simplified navigation, improved visual hierarchy, and improved WooCommerce performance through technical optimization. Our UX/UI design featured a focus on clean lines, whitespace, and impactful product imagery. Development enhancements involved performance caching, image compression, mobile-first layouts, and smooth AJAX-based interactions to enhance shopping flow.

Innovation

• Smart Filters & Live Search: We created sophisticated product filtering and pre-emptive search experience that helps users discover products by size, style, color, and availability in real time.

• Quick View & Sticky Add to Cart: Added product quick views and sticky add-to-cart bar on mobile to reduce shopping friction.

• Personalized Recommendations: Developed a dynamic product recommendation module based on browsing history and best purchased pairs in order to trigger upsells and engagement.

• Instagram Feed Integration: The site has an Instagram live feed synchronized with the Instagram account of Chic & Zip, blending lifestyle photos with the shop.
