FortMesa, a robust business cybersecurity solution for managing security operations and compliance, partnered with Avology to enhance their React frontend for performance, user experience, and scalability. They sought to streamline their user interface, make it more responsive, and align their frontend with the standards of modern UI — without sacrificing the integrity of a security-first experience.

Challenging Part

FortMesa's front-end had developed organically throughout their product. Though rich functionally, it had become performance-hungry and cumbersome to use, particularly for users who were working with multiple assets and workflows. The challenge was to re-design and refactor key pieces without impacting existing security processes or the underlying API integration layer.

Solution

Avology collaborated closely with FortMesa's product and backend teams in creating a modular, sustainable React architecture. We introduced component-based design systems, used lazy loading for the heavier components, and employed efficient state management patterns (by Redux and Context API) for more seamless interactions.

UX/UI focused on clarity, contrast, and consistency — essential for cybersecurity dashboards. We introduced dark mode, customizable alerts, and streamlined flows for complex configurations like role-based access control and compliance monitoring.
